Process
The following process is for foreigners who are irregular in Mexico, and have at least one entry between 2015-2022, providing them a temporary residence for 4 years without a work permit, also is assigned a CURP Code (The Unique Population Registry Code, better known as CURP serves to register individually to all persons residing in Mexico, nationals and foreigners, as well as Mexicans living in other countries) which provides the opportunity to obtain a work permit independently through an RFC (The RFC stands for Registro Federal de Contribuyentes, which is a unique alphanumeric code that the Mexican government uses to identify individuals and companies that carry out an economic activity in our country) or through a registered company.
At the end of the 4 years temporary period, 30 days before the expiration date card, the change from temporary resident to permanent resident can be initiated.
Once you are a temporary/ permanent mexican resident, you should notify to the National Immigration Institute (INM), every change what you do during your resident in México, if you change your marital status, name, nationality, address, or place of work, within the following ninety calendar days after the change occurs.

You will need to come to Quintana Roo. Resolution can take up to 2-3 weeks.

2) Proof of address (electricity or water bill)
4) Tourist visa expired.
